Welcome, welcome!

Whether it's my home or my blog, I love visitors.  The ones that come to my home to visit add something new and interesting to the mix of daily life. But then they leave again, forcing me to return to daily life without their smiles and laughter.  The great thing about blog visitors is that they can come again and again, and need never leave. 

Photographer Vincent Versace said, "We came to photography because the world moves us in such a way that we want to photograph what we see so others can be moved the way we were."  And so it was for me.  Despite my deplorable skills with a canvas and paints, I found the joy of creativity with a camera.  

So welcome.  Make yourself at home.  Enjoy the people in love, the gorgeous details, and adorable families.  I'd love to hear from you.

PS. And as much as I love having visitors, I love being a visitor!  Although based in Chicago, IL I have had the pleasure traveling around the world to capture weddings and families, and I would love to come visit you.  Live across the country (or continent) or planning a destination wedding?  I'm a wonderful guest.  And I bring my camera.

I’ve just returned from over three weeks away, visiting family, friends and photographing some adorable families & couples.  Among other fun times, my sister, niece and I, along with a friend and her son, trekked across state lines to visit Weinerschnitzel, a much beloved culinary indulgence that all of us had been without since moving from California.

While away, I challenged myself to take the time off from blogging and all but the mandatory web/email activities, hence my absence here.  But I promise that soon the blog will return, filled with lots of great shoots to start the new year off right.  And to all the couples & families I will be working with this year – I CAN’T WAIT!

January 12, 2010 - 10:53 pm Brandi Morris - Um, sister- I'm not sure that we agreed this secret obsession could go blog-public. And I'm not sure that the word 'culinary indulgence' applies to this particular meal. But with that said... Nothing in this world beats a well-made, and well-timed Weinerschnitzel chili-cheese dog. Never has, never will. Soft, squishy bun...stunningly fake cheese product that melts like butta and sticks to your teeth...perfectly spiced chili with no recognizable ingredients, a dog oozing with sodium. Perfection.
