Hello All! I have received many emails and phone calls to ascertain if I am:

1. Still alive
2. Still capturing weddings & families

YES! to all of the above. To say that life has been incredibly crazy this past year is an understatement. In the last year I have photographed over thirty weddings and at least two dozen families, NONE of which have been blogged (obviously). Suffice to say that in the midst of the busy-ness, blogging has taken an absolute backseat to everything else. (It doesn’t help that I’m in the 4th year of a doctoral program and preparing to move for my residency next summer.)

Please do continue to email and call with your photography needs; as always, I am honored to be asked to capture such special people.

I realize the blog has been a little slow this month, and in particular, the past couple of weeks, but I have an excuse, a really good one, that fully justifies my absence.  You see, this little guy entered the world a few weeks ago and I had to visit him and his big sister in Portland. I love being an Auntie.

A common scene around my sister’s house, Kellen’s adoring big sister will walk by and simply must stop to kiss his head.

I’m leavin’ on a jet plane bound for my second homeland, Denmark, to attend and photograph the wedding of my dear, dear friend Anne. I will check email periodically but if you don’t hear from me for a few days, it will be because I’m immobile from overdosing on all of the Danish foods I miss.

It was almost mean of me to ask two 3-year olds to hold off on eating their donuts for five seconds while I continued the documentation of our culinary field trip to Vancouver, WA.

I’ve just returned from over three weeks away, visiting family, friends and photographing some adorable families & couples.  Among other fun times, my sister, niece and I, along with a friend and her son, trekked across state lines to visit Weinerschnitzel, a much beloved culinary indulgence that all of us had been without since moving from California.

While away, I challenged myself to take the time off from blogging and all but the mandatory web/email activities, hence my absence here.  But I promise that soon the blog will return, filled with lots of great shoots to start the new year off right.  And to all the couples & families I will be working with this year – I CAN’T WAIT!
